The Art of the Prelude

Magdalena's lecture-recital "The Art of the Prelude" is now available as an episode of the SNF Rendez-vous podcast. The Art of the Prelude took place on February 5th as a part of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Rendez-vous series at the Institute for Ideas and Imagination. Magdalena explored the history of composing and performing 17th- and 18th-century keyboard preludes, tracing the development of the genre over time. The program featured a wide range of keyboard preludes, including works by Louis Couperin, Elisabeth Jacquet de la Guerre, Johann Sebastian Bach, Fryderyk Chopin, and Claude Debussy. Listen here
