Magdalena Baczewska performed with soprano Awet Andemicael in a concert concluding the multidisciplinary symposium "Abolitionism and the Arts in the Long Eighteenth Century” at Columbia University's Maison Française. A panel that followed explored the complicated nature of the 18th-century British abolitionist repertoire, as well as Black American Spirituals in a concert setting.
